Rooster Hackle feathers are the pointed ones than span right around the neck. When you see roosters going to fight they puff them up.
Red hackle feathers measure approx 4 inches long. They are made with stripped Rooster Hackle Feathers that and arranged on to a piece of fabric and glued. Stripping feathers is a unique process where the quill gets stripped approximately 3/4 of its feather. This leaves behind beautiful feather tips. Decorative beads are then attached to some of the stripped areas of the quill.
These Feather Hackle Plates are available in a variety of colours and can be cut to any size.
